A day at the zoo

We took Bevan to the zoo on Sunday. He was quite alert and interested
in it too. The best animals were the Giraffes. We were there for the
zookeeper talk and we were able to hand feed the giraffes some leafy
twigs. Michael was posing for the camera and the giraffe got impatient
and extended his tongue a foot out to grab the branch off him, much to
his surprise.
We also saw zebras and "Tahi" the one-legged kiwi. Sitting in the dark
room waiting for Tahi I was able to top Bevan up with a quick feed.
We also had a go in the playground next door. We found one of the
bucket swirly chairs that Liz from playcentre had told me about. Bevan
had a go in it and didn't seem to mind it. I had a go and I was
shreiking like a crazy lady!
