Survived first time apart

On Saturday it was the wedding of my friends Rachel and David. I was a bridesmaid and so I needed to be there for the whole day, and without Bevan. It actually went pretty well. Michael brought Bevan in for a feed during the morning while the girls were getting ready. Then I made sure to be wearing a thick bra and very absorbant breast pads. I made it through the rest of the day without leaking. I expressed twice when there were lulls in the wedding activity.
Meanwhile, Michael dropped Bevan off at my Mums along with heaps of frozen expressed milk and Bevans portacot and accessories. My mum did a great job looking after Bevan, and apparently he was well behaved for her. She even improvised a mobile for him from some soft-toys.
I'm glad it was such a great success. The wedding itself was good too. The speeches and the vows were lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos.
