On Thursday 18th January I decided to get out of the house and go do some errands at Queensgate. I was quite nervous about doing this as it meant taking Bevan on the bus in his brand new frontpack all by myself.
I was worried that he'd cry the whole time and annoy everyone and that he'd want to be fed and changed while we were out.
Anyway, I decided it was important for my confidence to go ahead and try. I packed a bag with nappies and a spare outfit and some wipes, changed bevan and gave him a feed before leaving, and loaded him up into the front pack. Luckily the bus stop is right outside our front gate, so we went out there and hopped on the next bus.
It went pretty well. The bus trip went fine. There was a huge queue at the post office which was a pain, but Bevan didn't grizzle. Then we went to Pumpkin patch and bought him some very cute cowboy outfits I'd seen on their website and wanted and were finally on sale. I headed over to farmers and bought two Triumph maternity bras for half price, and some pants for Bevan in newborn size as all his 000 pants are a bit too big.
Finally I picked up some sushi and we went over to the bus stop to head home again.
Yay! Mission completed with no fussing.
Here is a photo of us with Bevan in his pack. I've also included a photo of the pumpkin patch stuff we bought.
