along, practising and perfecting his skills rather than learning new
ones.
He is walking really well now and other parents often ask me how old he
is and act surprised because he is walking well for his age.
He is at Playcentre twice a week now and seems to enjoy exploring a lot
- He'll walk or run off and go and have a look around. Sometimes he'll
settle down for a bit to play with the musical instruments (a
favourite). He also will stop and settle quickly when it is morning tea
time!
He has four words now, Mum, Dad, Cat and Dog. However, his use of the
word Dog is a bit inconsistant. Quite often dogs will be "cats". He
does really enjoy meeting with animals.
He is down to one nap a day usually. I have discovered little teeth
marks on his cot headboard from where he has stood up and chewed at the
wood.
We've had to fix the bathroom door as one of his favourite things to do
was to sneak in there and drop stuff down the toilet and play with the
toilet brush! Thankfully he seems to have a robust immune system and
has suffered no ill effects from this.
His favourite tv program is In the Night Garden, and his second
favourite is Blues Clues. I think I'd prefer if it was the other way
around.
We survived the onslaught of 1st birthday parties during January. It
was busy and a lot of fun to attend lots of parties. Bevan has been
very spoiled with lots of lovely toys and books.
