I've been slack

I have been slack about updating Bevans blog over the past couple of
weeks.

I guess his progression lately has been very smooth and so I haven't
noticed "big" milestones happening.
I'm starting planning for his birthday party on 1st of January. Wow,
that's only a month away. The year sure has gone by so fast. If I have
left anyone off the invite list accidentally then please ask me for the
details. The more the merrier!

I have a cake in mind and am preparing for it, I've researched some
pictures, bought some gel food colourng, ordered a cake tin... I've
picked up a few presents for him for his Christmas and birthday. Gerard
and Jeanne have already organised his gift and it is tucked away here
safely. My mother showed me a gift too and I'm really looking forward
to it.

At Kirkcaldies today Michael and I picked out an ornament for Bevan for
our tree. I'll be putting it up on Sunday at the start of Advent.

On Sunday I took Bevan to the Naenae pool. He wore his imse vimse swim
pants and his rash suit and he liked it mostly aside from when wate went
in his ears. We are going on a swimming pool field trip with SPACE
soon.
We went to the Lower Hutt Christmas parade on Saturday. It was quite
amateurish but I think Bevan still enjoyed it. He didn't get bored
anyway. His favourite thing were the dogs from the german sheperd club,
the greyhounds as pets society, and another random cute little dog in
the parade.

I reorganised his wardrobe and got out the last new (bigger) sizes from
his hand-me-down pile (thanks again Alison), and put away the stuff that
is too small. He is in size 0 or 1 pants, although the 1's are a bit
long in the leg. He is in size 1 or 1 1/2 bodysuits now. He seems to
be quite long in the body and short in the legs, like his daddy. I'll
pick out one or two really small outfits so that he can have them for
the boy baby doll I've bought him.

Still 2 teeth, although we think he is working on some more to go on his
upper gum. He is saying mum mum and dada and is always laughing and
dancing and crawling around. He can walk along next to furniture really
well now and sometimes he stands unaided for a few seconds. He charms
everyone wherever he goes.

I bumped into my midwife at the supermarket the other day and it was
lovely to see her and show her how Bevan has grown. She was very nice
about him and said he looked gorgeous.

I'll be taking Bevan's 11 month photo in a few days time. Bye!
