Putting on weight.

The Plunket Karitane nurse came to see me today to weigh Bevan as he was
about the 33rd percentle last time at 3 months. He is still the 33rd
percentile, but is obviously growing well. He now weighs 6.6 kilos and
is still fully breastfed at 4 months. I'm quite pleased with how he is
doing, he only wakes once in the night, so even though he looks
interested in solids I'll hold out for a bit longer.

While Bevan has been putting on weight I haven't been. I'm a lot
lighter than I used to be. At the moment I still pig out with food, so
when I cut down breastfeeding I shall start watching what I eat, but not
before.

Michael is looking after Bevan tomorrow and I'm going to work. It is a
special thing my work does to make maternity leave people feel like they
are keeping in touch. Bevan and Michael will come in at lunchtime and
I'll feed Bevan in a parents room (possibly at the library) so that I
don't have to try to express at work.

Possibly Michael will even take Bevan to the coffee group I have with
the ladies from our antenatal group.
